Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said on Monday (31/3), Indonesia’s agro-industrial sector demonstrated robust growth in 2024, growing by 5.20 percent and contributing 8.89% to the country’s GDP. The sector employed 9.37 million workers while maintaining a positive trade balance, with exports reaching USD 67.1 billion. Investment in agro industries soared to IDR 206.3 trillion (EUR 11.5 billion), with IDR 126 trillion (EUR 7 billion) from foreign capital and IDR 80.4 trillion (EUR 4.5 billion) from domestic investment.
