The latest figures presented by the National Debt Register (KRD) indicate that the debt of the construction sector already totals PLN1.72bn, which marks an 11-% increase on April 2024 and a 23-% increase on April two years ago, with average debt amounting to PLN37k. The statistics also show that things are particularly tough for the smallest businesses as the number of sole traders in debt is estimated at 31,500 and they owe a total of PLN843m. (ICE VARSAVIA)
