POLISH E-STORES CONTINUE TO EXPAND INTO FOREIGN MARKETS
The latest statistics compiled by eBay indicate that as many as 43 % of Polish e-stores have come to the conclusion that the Polish market has become too small for them, which is why they decide to expand abroad in an effort to boost their revenue. The figures also demonstrate that Polish e-commerce players tend to enter such markets as Germany, indicated by 86 %, followed by the Czech Republic (68 %), the Netherlands (48 %) and Hungary (45 %). As noted by Lorna Dunne, Head of EU Central Markets at eBay, the Polish e-commerce market has huge growth potential, with ongoing digitization and diversification of export markets being its key drivers.
