SALARIES CONTINUE TO RISE THOUGH HOUSEHOLDS COMPLAIN
The available statistics show that on the one hand, as many as 21 percent of Polish households are unable to make ends meet with their monthly income while, on the other, consumer sentiment continues to improve, driven by such factors as low unemployment, rising salaries and steady economic growth. Meanwhile, according to the latest data released by the National Bank of Poland (NBP), in February 2025 Poles saved 10.9 percent more on bank deposits than a year earlier. Still, a survey conducted in early March 2025 by the Credit Information Bureau (BIK) indicates that over the past 12 months more than 36 percent of Poles had dipped into their savings in order to get by.
