SEC, DTI SIGN PROTOCOL TO ASSIST MSMES
THE Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) have formalized an agreement to streamline the business registration process for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Under the agreement, the DTI will facilitate the sharing of corporate data through the SEC's Swift Corporate and Other Records Exchange (Score) Protocol. In turn, SEC will give DTI access to relevant data such as articles of incorporation, general information sheets, or annual financial statements, among others. "This agreement is a significant step forward in strengthening our collective efforts to empower the country's dynamic business landscape," SEC chairman Emilio Aquino said. The agreement will enhance DTI's mandate to regulate sole ownership transactions. https://www.manilatimes.net/2025/03/25/business/top-business/sec-dti-sign-protocol-to-assist-msmes/2078951 (ICE SINGAPORE)
