GOVERNMENT DRIVES EXPANSION OF INDONESIAN CREATIVE PRODUCT MARKETS
The Indonesian Ministries of Creative Economy and Trade have joined forces to expand market access for creative products, both domestically and internationally. This partnership, formalized through a memorandum of understanding, reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening the creative sector. Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya emphasized the importance of this collaboration in overcoming global market challenges. A key part of the initiative is the "hexahelix" strategy, which integrates government, academia, finance, media, communities, and businesses to support industry growth. Trade Minister Budi Santoso highlighted the role of Indonesia’s 33 trade representatives abroad, who will conduct monthly pitching sessions to help creative entrepreneurs enter global markets.Early results show government-backed efforts are paying off, with micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) export transactions reaching US$5.2 million in January and US$3.5 million in February 2025. While challenges remain in developing export-ready businesses, the government is optimistic that this initiative will enhance global competitiveness and sustain long-term growth.Source: https://en.antaranews.com/news/349545/govt-drives-expansion-of-indonesian-creative-product-markets (ICE GIACARTA)
