A GRANT OF 150,000 EUROS TO THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH
Khaled Abu Hammour, Director General of the National Center for Agricultural Research, confirmed that the center has been awarded its fourth grant from the European Union, valued at €150,000, as part of the HORIZON-EUROPE program competition. In a press release, Abu Hammour stated that the project, titled “Multifaceted Integration of Biodiversity for Healthy Soil and Resilient Agricultural Management,” will be implemented in collaboration with 19 European entities, with Jordan being the sole partner from the Middle East, represented by the National Center for Agricultural Research. Abu Hammour highlighted that the center’s involvement in the project will be through a team from the Environment and Climate Change Research Directorate, which will focus on utilizing crop modeling programs and decision support tools to enhance farm management by simulating changes in production under various climate change scenarios.
