Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 726,600 passengers in February, marking the highest number of passengers recorded for that month in the airport’s history. This represents a 7.4% increase compared to February 2024. The Airport International Group announced on Tuesday that the airport also recorded 5,724 aircraft movements in February, reflecting a 6.1% increase. Additionally, the airport handled 5,029 tons of air cargo, a 23.5% decrease compared to the same period last year. The group further reported that QAIA has served 1.51 million passengers so far this year, marking a 10.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024. It also recorded 11,700 aircraft movements, a 5.6% increase, while air cargo traffic saw a 23.2% decline, reaching 9,970 tons compared to the previous year. (ICE AMMAN)
