KTZ, PTC Holding to develop terminal infrastructure in Poti, GeorgiaNC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) JSC and PTC Holding have agreed on joint development of terminal infrastructure in the city of Poti (Georgia), the press service of PTC Holding reported."A memorandum on cooperation between Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC and PTC Holding LLP was signed today in Baku within the framework of the working group meeting and the general meeting of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route" (TITR) international association. The parties expressed their intention to jointly develop terminal infrastructure facilities and attract the necessary investments and resources for the implementation of the project," the report said.According to the press service, the agreement provides for joint work on the creation of a transport and logistics hub in one of the most important centers for international cargo transport on the TITR.It is reported that the partners have agreed to create a working group to study in detail the technical, financial and organisational aspects of the project, as well as to jointly develop a roadmap and carry out consulting work.Since 2023 PTC Holding has been implementing a project in the city of Poti on the Black Sea to build a multimodal container terminal with a capacity of over 80,000 TEUs per year. The total investment in the project is $30 million.The Port of Poti is one of the key facilities on the TITR, which connects the countries of Asia and Europe, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of goods along international transport chains.Kazakhstan Temir Zholy is a transport and logistics company that is part of the National Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna. The company manages railway, seaport and airport infrastructure, transport and logistics centres.PTC Holding LLP is an international transport and logistics group of companies providing a full range of logistics services in the oil and gas and container sectors, as well as owning and operating railway rolling stock and infrastructure in the countries of Central Asia.
