Majilis of Kazakhstan has adopted law on ratification of agreement with Qatar on military cooperationThe Majilis, the lower chamber of Kazakhstan’s parliament, adopted on Wednesday the Law on Ratification of the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the State of Qatar on Military Cooperation.The Agreement was signed in Doha on December 12, 2023.According to the Majilis’ Committee, the governments of the two countries will cooperate in such areas as military education and training of military personnel, military medicine, military science, cultural and sports events that will be conducted by the armies of the two countries, peacekeeping operations, and combat training.In the framework of the Agreement, the authorized agencies of Kazakhstan and Qatar will set up a joint working group that will organize and coordinate activities specified in the Agreement.The document is now sent to the Senate, the upper chamber of the parliament, for approval.
