The European Union Ambassador to Jordan, Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas, stressed that the relationship between Jordan and the EU is very strong and economic cooperation is increasing, praising the importance of holding a European-Jordanian economic forum in Amman next month, which is “the first of its kind” in the region. During a lecture at the World Affairs Council entitled “European Union Policy in Jordan and the Middle East in Light of Current Events,” the Ambassador praised Jordan’s positions and role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and its efforts to work on a ceasefire in Gaza from the first days of the war.
