Imports of petroleum derivatives registered a year-on-year improvement of 4.5% during 2023.  Imports of petroleum derivatives recorded 5,162,204 metric tons in 2023, up from 4,939,419 metric tons in the  year prior, as released by the Central Bank of Lebanon.  This improvement comes following a drop of petroleum derivatives import in the year prior of 19.0% registering  6,094,373 metric tons in 2021.
