POLAND'S EXPORTS DROP 8.5 PCT Y/Y TO EUR 28.7 BLN IN MARCH - ECONOMIC LOBBY

Polish exports in March amounted to EUR 28.7 billion, down 8.5 percent year on year, according to a report published by the Polish Chamber of Commerce (KIG).Thus, it increased by 5.5 percent in relation to the values recorded in February and decreased by 8.5 percent in relation to the volumes recorded twelve months ago.The chamber predicts that the latter half of 2024 will witness more favourable conditions for Polish export sales. These conditions include a stronger dollar, which will worsen the competitive position of suppliers from the Far East, and a significant economic awakening among Poland's key trading partners where the economic situation was poor.KIG added that exports in 2024 could increase to EUR 343.7 billion, or by 2.9 percent and, in 2025, they could grow by 11 percent year on year, amounting to EUR 381.6 billio (ICE VARSAVIA)
