Saudi Arabia's gigaprojects developer Neom has invited companies to bid for a contract to develop four hotels in Oxagon, the development's industrial cluster. Neom expects to receive bids for the contract in July. The planned four hotels will have a total combined 1,200 keys. The project is being procured on a build-own-operate-transfer basis. Construction work on the 48 square-kilometre, eight-sided industrial city is under way. It will include onshore elements as well as floating structures offshore. The industrial city has a core residential component called Oxagon Village, which will be built on an area of 1.5 square kilometres. It will comprise 60 residential buildings with about 8,500 apartments catering to 17,000 residents. The development will also include schools, hospitals, offices, sports facilities, hotels and restaurants.
