Indonesia’s Floriculture Exports Surge as Sector Shifts from Hobby to Strategic Green Economy Indonesia's Indonesian Quarantine Agency (Barantin) reported strong performance in the nation's floriculture export sector, recording Rp4.42 trillion in value across 93.9 million commodities sent to 95 countries throughout 2025. Between January 1 and September 14, 2026, export values reached Rp3.51 trillion covering 59.6 million commodities shipped to 96 destination countries. Head of Barantin Abdul Kadir Karding emphasized that floriculture can no longer be viewed merely as a hobby, but as an essential driver of the national green economy, creative industry, job creation, and export expansion.
