Kazakhstan opens fuel oil exports to Kyrgyzstan up to 20,000 tonnes per month – Energy MinistryKazakhstan has authorized fuel oil exports to Kyrgyzstan of up to 20,000 tonnes per month, following a request from the Kyrgyz prime minister, the Energy Ministry said."At the request of Kyrgyzstan's prime minister, we have authorized fuel oil exports of 15,000 to 20,000 tonnes per month to Kyrgyzstan," the ministry said.The ministry said the fuel oil could be used as feedstock for further refining at Kyrgyz refineries to produce light petroleum products, including gasoline and diesel, or at Kyrgyz cogeneration heat and power plants during the 2026-2027 heating season.The ministry has not yet made a decision on shipments of light petroleum products to Kyrgyzstan."A formal request from Kyrgyzstan's Energy Ministry for light petroleum products is being reviewed. Any decision will depend on production-consumption balances, available export surplus and, above all, domestic market needs," the ministry said. (ICE ALMATY)
