BANK INDONESIA STRENGTHENS INDONESIA'S PRESENCE IN GLOBAL COFFEE MARKET VIA JCFF
Bank Indonesia is spotlighting Indonesia’s coffee industry through the Java Coffee, Flavors and Festival (JCFF) in Surabaya, East Java, July 17–19, 2026. As the world’s fourth-largest coffee producer, Indonesia yields about 780,000 tons annually, with East Java contributing 53,000 tons—making it the leading producer on the island. BI aims to leverage this strength to boost exports and reinforce Indonesia’s global position in the coffee market. The festival also emphasizes the role of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which dominate coffee production, in driving broader economic growth. JCFF 2026 is designed not only as a showcase of coffee but also as a platform for business coaching and market expansion. With over 60 MSME tenants, including 41 BI-backed coffee enterprises, the event connects local producers with domestic and international buyers. Building on last year’s success—130,000 visitors and Rp107 billion in transactions—BI expects even greater achievements this year. The inclusion of vendors offering chocolate, tea, herbs, and spices further enriches the festival, positioning it as a comprehensive celebration of Indonesia’s diverse flavors and entrepreneurial spirit.Source: https://en.antaranews.com/news/423196/bi-strengthens-indonesias-presence-in-global-coffee-market-via-jcff (ICE GIACARTA)
