MALAYSIA-INDONESIA HALAL TRADE PROJECTED TO EXCEED RM119 BILLION
Malaysia-Indonesia bilateral trade is projected to grow by 10% this year to reach USD29.3 billion (approximately RM119.25 billion), driven by expanding cooperation and mutual recognition of halal certification under a 2023 memorandum of cooperation. The partnership continues to spur robust exchange in processed foods and serves as a vital channel for Indonesian palm oil-based ingredients and raw materials supplied to Malaysia.Source: https://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2026/07/13/msia-indonesia-halal-trade-to-top-rm119bil-this-year (ICE GIACARTA)
