LITHUANIA ALLOCATES €3 MILLION TO ATTRACT FOREIGN INVESTMENT TO THE REGION
The Lithuanian Ministry of Economy and Innovation has allocated €3 million to the public institution Invest Lithuania to accelerate the search and attraction of high added-value foreign direct investments to Central and Western Lithuania. The funding is aimed at attracting new businesses and creating highly skilled jobs in the regions.According to the Ministry, the objective is to attract 30% of investments to the regions by 2030 and reduce the gap between the regions and the country’s major cities. The measure will focus on investments generating research, experimental development and innovation activities in the regions.The funding will be used for various investment promotion activities, including the organisation of visits by potential investors, the preparation of research, studies and reports, and other related activities. The project is implemented by Invest Lithuania and funded by the European Regional Development Fund. (ICE VARSAVIA)
