PRELIMINARY WORKS AND EXCAVATION BEGIN FOR KING HUSSEIN BIN ABDULLAH II INTERNAT

The Jordan Urban Development and Infrastructure Company announced on Sunday the start of preliminary works and excavation for the King Hussein Bin Abdullah II International Stadium project, which forms part of the first phase of the Amra City development. The works are being carried out in preparation for the commencement of construction in early 2027, marking the official launch of the Kingdom’s largest national sports complex. The project is being implemented in line with the Economic Modernization Vision and aims to strengthen Jordan’s sports and infrastructure capabilities. In a statement, the company said the stadium will be built on a site covering approximately 1,000 dunams and will have a seating capacity of 46,000 spectators. Construction is expected to be completed and the stadium officially opened by the end of 2029. (ICE AMMAN)
