Kazakhstan national budget revenue up 16% in January-May - MinistryKazakhstan's state budget revenue rose 16% year-on-year to more than 11.4 trillion tenge in January-May 2026 and beat the government's target, the Finance Ministry said Monday.Government budget revenue reached 7.41 trillion tenge, exceeding the 7.34 trillion tenge target by 0.9%, or 66.7 billion tenge. Compared with January-May 2025, government budget revenue jumped 25.1%, or 1.48 trillion tenge.Tax receipts, which made up 97.7% of republican budget revenue excluding transfers, came in 0.5% above plan and rose more than 30.6% year-on-year. The increase was driven by stronger collections of value-added tax, corporate income tax, mineral extraction tax and the export customs duty on crude oil.Local budget revenue totaled 4.05 trillion tenge, up 2.4%, or 95.1 billion tenge, from January-May 2025.The official exchange rate on June 1 was 485.95 tenge to the dollar.
