KAZAKHSTAN-CARGOLUX-FLIGHTS
European cargo carrier Cargolux back in KazakhstanLuxembourg-based Cargolux Airlines International resumed flights to Kazakhstan on Monday with the arrival of its first service at Astana's international airport, state oil and gas company KazMunayGas (KMG) said.The carrier's return follows an into-wing fueling deal between KMG unit KazMunayGas-Aero and Cargolux, ensuring uninterrupted ground handling at the capital's airport."Kazakhstan continues to offer some of the lowest jet fuel prices in Central Asia, helping to increase transit, technical and cargo flights through the country's airports," KMG said.Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry said earlier that Cargolux planned to operate up to 14 flights per week through Astana. The Transport Ministry said the airline previously served Kazakhstan from May to August 2023.Founded in 1970 and based in Luxembourg, Cargolux flies scheduled and charter cargo services to more than 90 destinations worldwide. Its fleet of 30 Boeing 747 Freighters can haul over 130 tonnes of cargo per flight, and the airline maintains more than 85 offices in over 50 countries. (ICE ALMATY)
