INDONESIA SETS REFERENCE PRICES FOR SEVERAL EXPORT COMMODITIES FOR JUNE 2026
Indonesia’s Ministry of Trade set the June 2026 reference price (HR) for crude palm oil (CPO) at USD 1,029.51 per metric ton, a 1.91% decrease from May due to weaker demand from major importers like India. Based on this price, the government imposed an export duty of USD 148 per MT and an export levy of 12.5% (USD 128.6892 per MT). The HR is calculated from average prices between April 20 and May 19, 2026, using data from Indonesian and Malaysian CPO exchanges. Additionally, the reference price for branded RBD palm olein cooking oil was set at USD 33 per MT. Meanwhile, cocoa bean prices rose significantly, with the HR reaching USD 3,832.17 per MT and the export reference price (HPE) at USD 3,511 per MT, driven by higher logistics costs due to the Strait of Hormuz closure and reduced supply from Nigeria. Other commodities saw mixed trends: pine resin prices increased, some wood product prices rose, while others such as wooden packaging sheets and certain processed woods declined. Prices for leather products and some wood categories remained unchanged, with all adjustments formalized under Ministerial Decree No. 1414/2026.Source: https://rri.co.id/en/business/2455037/govt-sets-reference-prices-for-several-export-commodities-for-june-2026#google_vignette (ICE GIACARTA)
