President Prabowo Subianto announced the target as part of a broader strategy to reach 8% economic growth by 2029, with expectations that stronger private-sector performance will play a key role in driving expansion. While external challenges such as global market volatility and currency depreciation persist, the government maintains that its projections are based on careful economic calculations.
