Danantara, Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund management agency, is accelerating digital transformation across the state-owned enterprise (SOE) ecosystem to drive industrialization of digital products. At a coordination meeting led by Danantara's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Sigit Puji Santosa and attended by 60 major SOE holding companies, the agency outlined a comprehensive approach covering business models, customer experience, operating models, technology infrastructure, and data governance. Santosa emphasized that transformation must deliver measurable performance improvements, not remain at the planning stage. Synergies in areas like technology spending, infrastructure, licensing, and shared services are expected to generate efficiencies of 25–40 percent depending on each SOE’s readiness. Danantara’s role is to align platforms, talent, and governance so digital initiatives across SOEs create collective value for the country. The agency is pushing adaptation to rapid technological advances, including artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, post-quantum readiness, and cybersecurity. It also encourages the development of strategic domestic technologies such as sovereign AI and sovereign cloud to strengthen national capabilities.
