Kazakhstan sets new fee rates for hiring foreign laborThe Kazakh government has approved new fee rates for issuing or extending permits to hire foreign workers, according to a decree published on the government's website.The fees will be calculated based on the monthly calculation index (MCI) effective on the payment date. Seasonal workers will be subject to separate fee schedules: 12 times the MCI for stays up to 90 calendar days; 24 times the MCI for up to 180 days; 36 times the MCI for up to 270 days; and 48 times the MCI for up to 365 days.The decree also voids several previous government decisions on this matter. The new regulations will take effect 10 calendar days after their first official publication and will apply to legal relations arising from January 1, 2026. (ICE ALMATY)
