INDONESIA'S INFRA DEVELOPMENT MAY REQUIRE US$644 BILLION INVESTMENT
Indonesia’s Investment and Downstreaming Minister, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, announced that infrastructure development in the country could require up to US$644 billion, with funding expected to come from the government (40%), private sector (30%), and state-owned companies via the sovereign wealth fund, Danantara. Speaking at the 2025 International Conference on Infrastructure, he emphasized the government’s commitment to reforming the investment climate through deregulation and integrating licensing systems across ministries to streamline processes and improve legal certainty. Roeslani highlighted that six ministries have already joined the unified licensing system, with 12 more to follow, aiming to make investment procedures faster and more transparent. He stressed that reforms like the 2021 Omnibus Law and continued digital transformation are essential to turn investment potential into impactful, job-creating projects—particularly in sectors like data centers and digital economy, which is projected to grow significantly by 2030.Source: https://en.antaranews.com/news/359137/infra-development-may-require-us644-bln-investment-roeslani?utm_source=antaranews&utm_medium=desktop&utm_campaign=top_news (ICE GIACARTA)
