More than 445,000 work places are still categorized as hazardous or dangerous," Zhakupova told a Tuesday meeting of the government.According to her data, 15,976 workers were recognized as occupationally disabled, including 8,204 due to occupational diseases and 7,771 due to on-the-job injuries.Zhakupova reported earlier a 17% decline in on-the-job injuries and a 5% reduction in fatal accidents in the 1st quarter of 2025 compared to 2024 levels, while presenting labor policy progress to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
