KAZAKHSTAN-MOROCCO-GRAIN-SHIPMENT
Kazakhstan establishes grain exports to MoroccoKazakhstan has dispatched its first batch of grain by railway to Morocco, the press service of the national railway carrier Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) reported.The 105 grain cars departed from the Zhana-Yesil station (Akmola Region) and Sarykol station (Kostanay Region). The cargo will travel by rail through Latvia, where the grain will be reloaded onto ships at the port of Liepaja and delivered to the North African coast.In total, KTZ reports that 17 rail shipments with Kazakh grain are planned for this route. The total volume of grain will amount to 60,000 tonnes.Earlier reports outlined Kazakhstan’s plans to export over 300,000 tonnes of wheat to North Africa by the end of the current agricultural year (July 2024 – June 2025).
