DUBAI LUXURY PROPERTY BOOM HIT NEW RECORD BEFORE TARIFF TURMOIL

Dubai's luxury real estate market hit a new record in the first quarter of 2025, with 111 homes sold above $10 million — a 5.7% increase year-on-year — including 12 properties over $25 million. The surge in demand was driven by global ultra-high net worth individuals (UHNWIs) seeking exclusive homes, especially in prime areas like Palm Jumeirah, which alone saw $562.8 million in high-end transactions. This boom came just before global market uncertainty triggered by new tariffs introduced by former President Donald Trump. While Dubai's property sector has thrived since 2020 thanks to favorable government policies and investor-friendly visa reforms, experts warn that shifting global sentiment could eventually impact growth.
