Turkiye’s Alarko Holding to build $650 mln greenhouse in ShymkentKazakhstan’ Ministry of Agriculture has signed an agreement on the construction and operation of a greenhouse complex in Shymkent with a design capacity of 155,000 tonnes of tomatoes a year, the press service of the ministry said in a Monday press release.The agreement was signed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Turkiye’s group of companies Alarko Holding, the administration of Shymkent and Alsera KZ LLP.The project will be implemented in two stages until 2028. It will create up to 5,000 new work places.Investment in the project will total $650 million, all of which will be provided by the Turkish investor, according to the press release. (ICE ALMATY)
