TRAIN ROUTE FROM VILNIUS TO TALLINN WITH TRANSFERS LAUNCHED
A new train route connecting Vilnius and Tallinn launches Monday, extending the existing Vilnius-Riga service.Three Baltic rail operators have coordinated schedules allowing 10-hour journeys with transfers in Riga and Valga.Daily trains depart Tallinn at 10:25 (arrival 21:00) and Vilnius at 7:05 (arrival 17:35).The route includes stops in Tartu, Estonia's second-largest city. While passengers currently need separate tickets for each country, operators plan to implement a unified ticketing system. This new service improves upon previous uncoordinated schedules that made the journey take over a day.LTG Link aims to eventually reduce the journey to just one transfer, according to CEO Egidijus Lazauskas.
