KING SALMAN PARK CONSTRUCTION IS ON TRACK
The construction of King Salman Park, which, when completed, will be the world’s largest urban park, is progressing on schedule. The structural works are completed and the overall construction work on the Royal Arts Complex is 48% completed. Works are also progressing on the tunnels and bridges, the production nursery, the wadi cascade and soil placement at the art park. They have excavated more than 13 million cubic metres of soil so far. The client is also planning private developments within the park’s urban districts. The project will be developed in six packages,The first package has been awarded, and the second package is being planned. The other packages will be announced later. Covering an area of 16.9 square kilometres, King Salman Park is located south of King Abdullah Road, north of Makkah Al Mukkarramah Road and west of the Eastern Ring Road in Riyadh. Once completed, it will have 12 kilometres of green space and over 150 attractions, 10 million square metres of built-up area and 18,000 parking spaces.
